Memorial Ceremony with Firing Squad (outdoors)

Harvest Garden Planting Day

Luck School District is offering a summer program to students in grades K-8 at Luck School. There are lots of great activities which will run June 10 - July 26 including:
New members are always welcome to this lively and informal discussion group. Below are the upcoming books to read. The group meets at 5:45 pm in the Luck Library. Ruby's Pantry Food Distribution

"Caring and Sharing Through Food"
The Luck Ruby's Pantry food distribution is approaching; please mark your calendar and also spread the word. Everyone is welcome to attend; you'll receive a good quantity and variety of food for your family, or share "extras" with a friend, neighbor, or family member. The distribution moves quickly so it won't take up a lot of your time.
The week prior to the distribution we'll learn what food will be delivered and will email that list to you asap. Please know that the founder of Ruby's Pantry and his staff are always working hard to bring in large quantities of good food to pass along at the distributions.
Registration begins at 11:30 am. Bring boxes or laundry baskets to carry food.
Your donation helps cover operational and shipping costs for Ruby's Pantry. 20% stays "local" to benefit our community. Thanks for your participation and generosity. Also... everyone who attends this distribution can put their name into a drawing to win one of FIVE gift certificates to be redeemed at the next distribution. It's one way we can say thanks to everyone who attends Ruby's Pantry as we keep this outreach program going strong. Thank you! :)
Sponsors are also welcome to purchase one or more gift certificates at $15 each. Our outreach team can either give you the certificates to give someone for a future distribution, or just ask us to "gift" the certificate to a local family for you! We’re always looking for people who’d like to share what they know, whether it’s cooking and baking, computer skills, crafts, or ( ? ). The newsletter is published by Luck Community Education, which highlights school and community news with two to three newsletters for 2012-13 school year. Thank You, Volunteers!
Luck School is thankful for all the volunteer assistance during the school year. They help our school many ways, whether it’s reading to students, working with students in a specific subject, or putting up hallway projects for teachers. Volunteers are also valuable as advisors on the Community Ed. board, collating newsletters for mailing, and special events. If you can volunteer during the school year, please contact the Luck Elementary office at 715-472-2152 ext. 108 or Comm.Ed. at 715-472-2152 ext. 103.
The annual luncheon to celebrate our volunteers was held in early May. Lydia Rennicke (2012) and Audrey Anderson (2013) were named Volunteer of the Year in appreciation for many years of serving both at Luck School and in our community.

Luck & Milltown Library Events
Visit our local libraries this summer! No matter what the weather’s like outside, you can enjoy a wide variety of books, movies, and games. Each library has a summer reading program for youth; Milltown also has outdoor movies scheduled through August. Call or surf the web for info:
A great place to meet and make new friends is at the Luck Senior Center at 31 2nd Ave. W. The center is open Tuesdays-Thursdays from 9:00 am-3:00 pm, and the coffeepot is always on! The center is also available to rent; please call 715-472-8285 for more details.
