Luck 6th grade students enjoyed a field trip to St. Croix Falls.
Stops included Excel Energy Hydro Electric Generating Plant where students learned how water power is used to create enough energy to light 20,000 homes in the area.
They also learned about the history of the river and the electric plant. After lunch the students went to Interstate Park to hear Julie Fox, the Park's Naturalist talk about the geological features in the park and a bit of history.
A writing activity using poetry and the 5 senses followed the hike to Summit Rock.
