Luck School Fitness Center Open to Area Residents
Stay active and improve your health at the Luck School Fitness Center with state-of-the-art exercise equipment aimed to motivate you to achieve personal fitness goals.
The Luck School District is offering use of their fitness center to community members. The equipment was purchased during the three-year Carol M. White PEP Grant to educate and establish lifelong fitness routines for students in grades 7-12. The Fitness Center is now available to more people because the grant period is complete.
Area residents can register for membership at a reasonable monthly cost. Participants will be able to use the Fitness Center on Monday through Friday from 6:00-8:00 am AND 6:00-8:00 pm for $15 per month. Students in grades 7-12 will get a discounted fee at $10 per month. Until determined otherwise, the Fitness Center will run through the end of May and start up again in September.
New members to the Fitness Center will receive orientation on the variety of equipment. Two rooms of equipment in the Fitness Center include five treadmills, three elliptical machines, and five stationery bikes for cardio workout. There are also machines to work on specific muscle groups, including the abdominal crunch / back extension, chest press, leg curl / leg extension, pectoral fly, shoulder press, lateral pulldown, mid-row, bicep curl / tricep extension, and decline abdominals. Clear directions for use are also posted on each of the machines.
Register for the Fitness Center in one of several ways: complete a registration form at the Luck School High School office between 8:00 am and 4:15 pm or download the form on the Luck School website at www.lucksd.k12.wi.us.
As use of the Fitness Center increases, additional hours and days are expected. Input is welcome from everyone who uses the Fitness Center, and those who would like to, for expanding the program.
