Countryside Cooperative is pleased to inform you that we will be offering up to twenty (20) $500.00 scholarships to eligible High School seniors enrolled at an accredited school.
Students whose parents or guardians are active members/customers of Countryside Cooperative are eligible to apply. An active member/customer is defined as having purchased a minimum of $1,000.00 worth of products and/or services in 2016 from Countryside Cooperative. Scholarship checks will be made payable to the college and mailed to the student’s home address upon presenting proof that the student has successfully completed his or her first semester of studies and is enrolled for second semester.
Scholarship winners will be required to submit a senior picture granting full and unconditional permission to Countryside Cooperative to use this photo in promotional materials associated with the scholarship program.

What is it?
The Americanism and Government Scholarship Program fosters interest in all levels of government, citizenship and provides students the opportunity to receive recognition and scholarships. A fifty (50) question test is administered to test a student’s knowledge of U.S. Government, Wisconsin Government, County Government, the U.S. Constitution and U.S. Flag Etiquette. To complete the test, students must answer an essay question.
When is it?
Test may be taken anytime between April 2, 2018-April 13, 2018
Who is eligible?
Any student in the 10th, 11th, or 12th grade, who is enrolled in any public, private, parochial or home-school, in the State of Wisconsin may participate. |

Burnett Dairy Cooperative is awarding 4 scholarships each in the amount of $2,500 to high school seniors graduating. Funds will be awarded upon successful completion of two semesters of post-secondary education.
Applicants choosing an agricultural or food related field of study are eligible to apply. All qualified applicants will be evaluated on academic record and have demonstrated support for the importance of agriculture and community.

The Sterbenz-Ryan Scholarship was established in 2016 in memory of local businessmen Richard Sterbenz and Martin Ryan who wanted to “give kids like them a shot at life they never had”. 100 scholarships in the amount of $1,500 will be offered to eligible students. The following scholarship opportunities are intended to assist traditional and non-traditional students who otherwise may not have the opportunity to attend a post-secondary school due to financial constraints. |

The Polk County Farm Bureau will be granting scholarships for high school seniors who are enrolled in an accredited college, university or technical college. All majors will be considered for this scholarship/ This scholarship is open to ALL students, with a preference given to students from Farm Bureau families.This scholarship will be based on the student's past school and community activities, plans for future education and essay.
A completed application must include the following:

- Candidate must earn a high school diploma.
- Candidates must plan to pursue a creer in a field that supports our values. Examples of this could include Game Warden, Fisheries Biologist or Wildlife Management.
- Candidates must complete one semester of college or university with a minimum of 3.0 GPA
- Candidates will provide Star Prairie Fish and Game with a brief (500 word or less) essay on how outdoor experiences from your youth influenced your decisionto pursue an outdoor related field. Essays should not include the candidates name in the body of the essay.
- Candidates will list any additional information that they would like taken in to consideration on page 2 of the application.
- Candidates will have attended Luck, New Richmond, Somerset, Osceloa, Amery, St. Croix Falls or St. Croix Central High School
- By April 15th, candidates whould provide Mrs. Odgren with: 1) a letter of intent to pursue advanced education that includes the name of the college or university that you plan to attend. 2) The essay as outline above.

Wisconsin Towns Association, in conjunction with Rural Mutual Insurance Company, carrier for the Association's endorsed insurance program, and Scott Construction, Inc. will be awarding $7,000 in scholarships to the winners of an essay contest to high school seniors graduating in 2021, who plan to enroll in a Wisconsin public or private college, or vocational college.
The winners are determined by independent judging of an ESSAY CONTEST. Essay must be TYPED, 500-1,000 words and double spaced. Essay must include a bibliographic listing of sources used. The essay should address the topic: "What lessons can town governments take from the COVID-19 pandemic to improve their emergency mangaement systems and prepare for and respond to future disasters?"
Please complete the application and the essay question by May 28, 2021. DON'T FORGET THE ESSAY! |

Industrial Arts Shop Improvement Project
Scholarship recipient will have opportunity to utilize Schaffer Manufacturing resources to complete a project to improve their high school’s Industrial Arts program
Submit a project proposal with the following format:
Improvement Project Idea – 1-2 paragraph summary of the proposed project
Technical Proposal –Details of the project proposal including:
- Detailed design plans.
- Estimated cost for materials, labor and services – should be itemized and specific. Cost should not exceed $500. If unsure of costs, rough estimates are acceptable.
- Timeline showing proposed completion schedule -- project must be completed within one year of award of scholarship.
In order to receive consideration, proposals should be submitted in a professional manner. Documents should be typed, and diagrams should be computer generated or neatly drawn. The presentation of the project is as important as the idea itself.
