Your vote counts for "Lucky to Have You" teacher recognition scholarship
In partnership with the Luck County Inn, the Luck School District is pleased to continue the "Lucky to Have You!" recognition program for a sixth year. The Luck Country Inn has graciously donated funds to recognize an outstanding Luck School educator with a $500 scholarship. Students in grades 4K-12, parents, and school district residents are all able to nominate teachers.
Luck School is fortunate to employ many teachers who are exemplary educators, and the $500 scholarship is a tangible and timely reward for teachers who go beyond their duties and invest their personal time and money to benefit their students.
Past award recipients include Mrs. Carolyn Peterson, Mrs. Jennifer Gilhoi, Mr. Karl Wicklund, Mrs. Nikki Tempesta, Mrs. Renee Gavinski, and Ms. Lori Nelson.
Initiated in 2015, this scholarship is a catalyst in our community to acknowledge our outstanding K-12 educators. Luck School District welcomes additional donors to step forward to create an additional $500 scholarship to award this spring, whether it’s funded by one person or multiple people.
The online application is clear and concise: name the teacher and the grades and subjects they teach, then explain in 100 words or less why you are nominating the teacher. Please limit one teacher nomination per person. The online application is accessible by clicking on a link (active during May 2020) and on both the Luck School District website at www.lucksd.k12.wi.us and Facebook page at Luck Public Schools. Paper applications will be available at the District / High School office.
Nominations for the 2019-20 school year will be accepted during May 2020. A panel will review the nominations and select a recipient who will be named and acknowledged at the end of the school year.
Please contact the Luck Community Education office with any questions at 715-472-3136.
