We are pleased to inform you that the School District of Luck will be implementing Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) while participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs for School Year 2024-25.
What does this mean for you and your children attending the school(s) identified below?
Great news! All enrolled students at Luck Elementary, Middle, and High School are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch each day of the school year at no charge to your household. Your child(ren) will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit a meal application. Note: The District of Luck is using the 2024-25 school year as a trial year for the Community Eligibility Provision program.
Ala Carte and extra entrée options will be available for purchase daily. Food service accounts must have a positive balance for these extra purchases (no exceptions).
Students with special dietary restrictions must have the proper documentation on file. Please contact Beth Lemieux, Director of Nutrition and Kitchen Services, to get a copy of the Children with Disabilities and Special Dietary Restrictions form. This form can also be found on the district website under “Food Service”. No special allowances can be made until this form is filled out by a prescribing physician and turned in.
*The district will still be requesting an Alternate Household Application from households with a student participating in the CEP program; however, receipt of free breakfast and lunch meals does not depend on returning it. Completing the application is still necessary for other programs like waived or reduced student fees. Again, returning an Alternate Household Application will not affect your student’s participation in the CEP food service program.
If we can be of any further assistance, please contact Lindsay Kaiser at lindsayk@lucksd.k12.wi.us or by phone at 715-472-2152 ext. 100.
