Every year, a Veterans Day program is planned to honor those who served in the Armed Forces. This year’s program will be held on Tuesday, November 11 at 10:00 a.m.
As in the past, each student is given the opportunity to honor one person who has served our country. If your student has an immediate family member they would like to recognize in the program slideshow, a picture can be sent to school (labeled with the student(s)’s name, the Veteran’s name, and their relationship). We will then do our very best to include as many of the pictures as possible in the slideshow that will run prior to the start of the program.
The photos will be scanned and returned to the student to take home. Pictures can also be emailed to Marissa Bazey at marissab@lucksd.k12.wi.us. If you have any questions about this project, please contact Marissa.
If you are able, please consider joining us to honor our Veterans that morning. It’s a great chance for us all to thank those who have served! There will be a social hour for all Veterans prior to the program. In addition, all Veterans and their families are invited to stay for lunch, sponsored by the National Honor Society and Student Council, following the program. Please RSVP to Marissa for lunch.
